Dear Parents: 

I hope you all have had a great weekend and your week is off to a great start.  Here is the update of Week 7-8. 

TWDL Parent Committee Meeting/ 双向双语家长委员会会议

Last week, we had a highly productive and wonderful first parent committee meeting. We were delighted to have approximately 80 attendees, including Mr. Puckett and Ms. Bocage, the K-12 instructional director. During the meeting, we engaged in a fruitful discussion about our planned events for this year, and parents had the opportunity to ask Mr. Puckett questions regarding school-related matters. For those parents who were unable to attend, you can review the meeting  slide deck made by Tony. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Tony for being a fantastic facilitator and leading the meeting. Our next meeting is scheduled for November 8, with Jenny as our facilitator. We are eagerly looking forward to it.

In addition, Marilou brought up the Mandarin translation function in Google Meet. We appreciate your reminder and thoughtfulness. To assist needed parents, I have created a video explaining how to enable the Chinese translation function. Please click on  the link provided.

After School Clubs/课后俱乐部

To further enrich our students' after-school lives, we have introduced various clubs, including the poetry club, dance club, chess club, music, and sports. It's truly heartwarming to witness our students enjoying these classes while experiencing social emotional growth and enhancing their regular learning. We understand that due to limited school facility capacity, not all interested children may be able to enroll in their preferred classes. Rest assured, we are committed to exploring creative solutions to accommodate more students. We appreciate your understanding and support.

为了进一步丰富我们学生的课外生活，我们开设了各种课后俱乐部，包括诗歌俱乐部、舞蹈俱乐部、象棋俱乐部、音乐和体育。看到我们的学生在获得快乐的同时也在增长其他技能和社交情感能力，真的让人备受鼓舞。我们理解由于学校设施容量有限，不是所有的孩子都能参加他们喜欢的课程。我们致力于探索创意解决方案，以容纳更多的学生。感谢您的理解和支持。
