TWDL Parent Workshop /双向双语家长工作坊
A big Thank you to Jenny chen for faciliating our last Parent committee meeting and for the parents who make time to join us. Here is the slide deck for your reference if you weren't able to make the meeting.
Our November Parent Workshop is scheduled for the next Wednesday 11/19, from 7:00-8:00 PM at EML computer lab. For this workshop, Mr. Bret Walsh will be joining me to copresent. Mr. Walsh is currently our 2nd & 3rd Combo EO teacher. He speaks Mandarin fluently. Through this workshop, parents can also learn the first hand experience of nonnative speaker learning a second language. Agenda will be shared soon.

我们的家长工作坊将在下周星期三晚上7:00-8:00在学校举行。会议地点是盖英小学电脑房。本次我邀请到目前我们英文项目的Walsh老师与我一起带领我们的家长学习中文 并了解有关项目的信息。 Walsh老师母语是英语但是他可以说一口流利的中文， 他会跟大家分享他中文学习的经历。
Lunar New Year Booth Activity Parent Volunteer Sign up /农历新年摊位活动志愿者登记
Here are the scheduled activities, please click on each activity for sign up.
2/5 1:15-1:45 School Assembly
We will need parent volunteers to help students put on their hairpieces and check their dance costumes before the performance.
我们需要八位家长志愿者，在演出前协助学生佩戴头饰并检查舞蹈服装。
2/6 5:00-7:00 TWDL Showcase
Parent volunteers will help dancers get ready. All performers will sit together and join their class when it’s their turn to perform. Parents may need to help their child change costumes as needed.
家长志愿者将协助舞者做好演出准备。所有表演者将坐在一起，并在轮到自己班级上台表演时加入。家长可能需要根据情况帮助孩子更换服装。
2/13 11:30-2:00 Booth Activity
We will need around 30 parent volunteers to assist with the activity booths. All materials will be prepared and provided for the lead volunteers at each booth.
我们大约需要三十位家长志愿者来协助摊位活动。每个摊位的负责人都会提前领取并准备好所有活动所需的材料。
2/13 11:00-1:00 Staff Luncheon
In past years, we’ve received incredible support from our families who generously provided delicious meals for our staff, a gesture especially loved by the EML team!You may start dropping off meals at 11:00 a.m., but if you arrive earlier, please leave them in the office and let the staff know.在以往的活动中，

Assessment and Report Card /评估和成绩报告单
During assessment week, our teachers and students are working hard to prepare for and take their tests. Please reassure your child that these assessments help teachers better understand their progress so we can adjust instruction to support their continued growth. Report cards will be sent home this week. When you receive your child’s report card, take time to have a collaborative conversation，celebrating the amazing work they’ve accomplished and discuss their next steps to encourage ongoing growth and learning.
在测评周期间，我们的老师和学生们都在努力准备并认真参加各项测试。请向您的孩子说明，这些测评有助于老师更好地了解他们的学习进展，从而调整教学方式，支持他们的持续成长。本周将发送成绩单。收到孩子的成绩单后，请花一些时间与孩子进行一次交流性的谈话。一起庆祝他们取得的优异成果，并讨论下一步的目标，鼓励他们继续进步与学习。
