Love Is illustrated by Paola Escobar
Chosen by Student Librarian
Escobar's lovely take on the famous love passage follows the life cycle of a new tree in the woods. The illustrator shows how love - in the form of a tree - provides protection, has a generous spirit, and shows kindness to all the animals it encounters. This understanding of love connects beautifully to NHCS' goal of land stewardship and will ensure the reader never looks at this passage in the same way again.
