OUR LEARNING
Language Arts - Our class is following the Scope & Sequence of the UFLI program. Students learn/review two letter sounds a week and sight words. We are going to be started guided reading groups in class as well as weekly spelling tests & a home reading program.
Math - Our focus has been numbers to 100. Skip counting by 2's, 5's & 10's; place value; base 10 blocks; ordering numbers, -1,+1, -10, +10
Science - Earth Systems - Winter. We have learning about animal adaptations (hibernation & migration), the weather and seasonal activities.
Social Studies - Time & Place - Learning what landmarks are and the different types.
Health - Financial Literacy- Goods & Services; Needs & Wants; coins
