OUR LEARNING
Language Arts - Our class is learning and reviewing the letters of the alphabet (and their corresponding sounds) as well as learning sight words and incorporating them in our journal writing. We are also discussing story elements (characters, setting, plot, beginning/middle/end).
Math - Our focus has been patterning, numbers to 30 and graphing (tooth chart, birthdays, weather).
Science - Matter - Investigating properties and changes. Specifically observing changes in the Fall season.
Social Studies - Citizenship - Learning about specific groups we belong in (family, school, community).
Health - Hygiene and Nutrition basics.
Art - Exploring in nature (print making, leaf rubbings). Thanksgiving and Halloween Art
Music - Perform rhythm patterns with body/instruments and keep a steady beat.
