Goal #4 - Students demonstrated strong leadership skills in time management, work habits and in the way they interacted with their customers on the day of the market.
September/December
Research Project
SYNOPSIS
Students completed a research project in partnership with Olds College. In September, junior high students came up with some agriculture related questions that they might like to use for a research project. We then went on a field trip to Olds College where they met with a researcher to discuss their ideas and settle on the one they wanted to do. Over the next few months, they worked in small groups to create a driving question, decide if they were going to do an experiment or collect data in another way and determine how they were going to share their findings. Working together they collected their data, compiled it into a slideshow and then presented it to an audience in December.
