Grade 12 - Graduation countdown is on!
Welcome to your final year of high school! What an exciting time, with much to think about and plan for!
There are many things to cover in senior year - here is an overview of what to expect:
Group Meetings in September: School Counselors prioritize meeting with seniors at the very start of the school year to go over the college application process in small groups, as well as all other things relevant to college applications.
Personalized Support: Following group meetings, we meet with every senior one-on-one throughout the fall to discuss individual post-grad plans, answer any questions, and help figure out next steps. No matter what your post-grad plans are, we are here to support you and help you develop a plan you feel good about!
Our meetings cover a wide range of topics, including:
Parents/Guardians, we also have lots of support for you! Here are some things that may help you along the way:
Please attend our Senior Parent/Guardian Night in early September (date/time TBA on News From the Hill)! We will have college admissions representatives there to answer any questions you may have, and the NHS School Counselors will do a quick recap of information that has been presented to your seniors.
If your senior plans to take a gap year, there will be a gap year presentation in January. Keep an eye on News From the Hill for date/time!
Additionally, you may be wondering about how to pay for college! Here are some helpful places to get you started in your research:
