Do you know how to do your taxes, change oil in a car, or even simply write a check? A majority of students that are going into high school or even leaving high school do not know how to do basic life skills.
Only 12% of schools teach their students how to do taxes and 26% of new drivers know how to change the oil in their car. These are just two of the basic life skills in adulthood and not many people know how to do them.
There are not enough classes that teach their students life skills for adulthood, but they should be provided.
