Band Council Elections

The new band director, Mr. Monroe, has decided to make a lot of new and positive changes to the band this year. One of those is the introduction of a Band Student Council. He presented the multiple positions to the band and asked students to run for the positions they wanted. On Wednesday, September 22, 12 students ran for the seven council positions. Everyone running made a speech as to why they should be appointed. Then the band conducted a blind, anonymous vote for the new positions. Here is a list of all the people who were voted into office:

President - Anthony Vella

Vice President - Brennen Arotin

Secretary - Shayla Bowser

Treasurer - Samantha Frantz

Reporter - Brianna Falduto

Sophomore Representative - Jacob Frantz

Freshman Representative - Teagan Pala

Along with these officers, the marching band drum majors (Emily Montanaro and Martina Miller) will also be included in the band council. There were also several positions that Mr. Monroe appointed himself, without a student vote. These positions are a little more complex, so he wanted to make sure that the people being selected were right for the job. These positions were recently announced, so here are the band librarians and managers.

Head Librarian - Emily Montanaro

Assistant Librarians - Zabrina Deyarmin, Logan Keith, Madison Doughty

Band Managers - Serenity Pala and Joe Bowser
