The Gamma Kappa Chapter recently celebrated the induction of five new members into The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. The ceremony honored these outstanding women educators for their commitment to excellence in education and leadership within their schools and communities.
Chapter President Kris McCammitt presided over the induction, assisted by chapter officers, including Membership Chair Kathy Sovine, and other chapter members. During the ceremony, candles were lit to symbolize the Society’s seven purposes and the light of shared sisterhood.
President McCammitt shared, “Each of our new members exemplifies the qualities of service, leadership, and dedication that define Delta Kappa Gamma. We are honored to welcome them as we continue ‘Leading with GRIT — Grace, Responsibility, Integrity, and Tenacity.’”
This induction represents an important step in strengthening the vitality of the Gamma Kappa Chapter and supports DKG’s international initiative to add 100 new members by 2029, in celebration of the Society’s 100th anniversary.
Following the ceremony, members enjoyed refreshments and fellowship as they welcomed the new initiates into the chapter.
