Beginning Teacher Support Committee

Goals for the Biennium:

• Encourage chapters to recruit beginning teachers for membership; highlight benefits

• Share strategies for supporting/encouraging beginning teachers (0-4 years of experience) with all chapters and expand support to teachers with 5+ years of experience

• Update the Beginning Teacher Support Committee webpage on the NC DKG website

• Work with other state committees to ensure support for beginning teachers

• Encourage beginning teachers to attend state convention

• Develop criteria for an NC DKG Beginning Teacher Award

• Continue the strategic action planning process
