Class: Antiarrhythmic Class 1B
Action: Blocks sodium channels, increasing the recovery period after repolarization; suppresses automaticity in the His-Purkinje system and depolarization in the ventricles.
Indications: Ventricular arrhythmias, Cardiac arrest from V-Fib, V-tach
Adverse Effects: Toxicity, seizures, cardiac arrhythmias, hypotension, cardiac arrest
Contraindications: AV Blocks, DO NOT USE, Adams-Stokes syndrome, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (delta wave)

Cardiac arrest V-fib/V-tach:
1-1.5mg/kg to a MAX of 3mg/kg
Wide-complex Tach - Lidocaine Drip:
2mg/min IV drip
RSI: Premedicate for Head Injury
1 mg/kg IV
Pediatrics:
VF/VT:
1mg/kg IV/IO q 5mins (max 3mg/kg)
