We created 3 dimensional pentagonal prisms using bristol board paper and a template. Students had to follow directions to cut, score, fold and glue their prism together. We then created various Optical Art designs that they glued onto their prism. Each side has a different design. We did a few designs together and then students had choices of different designs to complete the remaining sides.

We usually do a watercolor unit every Spring. We did 3 watercolors together this year in which students learned various watercolor techniques. From there, students work on creating watercolors on their own applying what they have learned. They had the option to work from a digital folder of watercolor paintings to practice or they could make their own image if they felt comfortable. Each student had to do 2 watercolors on their own.
