Creating a Unit
1. From the Lessons menu, choose Unit Planner.
2. Start by selecting the section or class want to plan your units for.
3. Your list of lessons will load. To create a unit, click on the number of Units for the section. If you have not yet created a unit, the button will day "No Units".
4. Click + Add a New Unit.
5. Select a color for the unit, and enter a unit number and title.
6. Click Create.
Alternatively, you can create a new unit from any lesson. Click on the Unit + button next to the lesson title, and choose + Add Unit.
Editing or Deleting A Unit
After creating a unit, you may want to edit the unit number or the title.
From the Lessons menu, choose Unit Planner.
Pick a class that you want to edit the unit for.
Select the Units tab. This tab also includes the number of units that have been created for this class.
Select the unit you want to edit.
Click Edit.
6. From this window, you can edit the unit number, title, or color and click Save. You can also delete the unit by selecting delete.
Assign Lessons to Units
To add a lesson to a Unit, open the lesson plan and click the Unit + button. Then select the Unit you want to assign the lesson to.
Anywhere the Unit + button is displayed on a lesson means you can assign the lesson to a unit.
Creating Unit Content
1.From the Lessons menu, choose Unit Planner.
2. Pick a class that you want to edit the unit for.
3. Select the Units tab. This tab also includes the number of units that have been created for this class.
4. Select the unit you want to edit.
5. Navigate to the Description field to open the editing tools. From here, you can insert any text content, images, or links that are relevant to this unit.
a. Use the Upload Files and Google Drive buttons to add attachments to this unit, such as worksheets.
b. Use the + Standards button to assign relevant standards to the unit. These standards will be accessible when attaching standards to lessons within this unit.
Adding Unit Content to a Lesson
1.Navigate to the lesson editor, and select Unit Content. You must have a unit assigned to your lesson to access unit content.
2. On the Unit information page, you can review the assigned resources for the unit.
a. Select if you want to add content to the Top Of Lesson, Bottom Of Lesson, or to your Cursor.
b. Click the attachment name or the download button to add the attachment to the lesson.
3. In the lesson editor, click Standards to access standards assigned to the unit. Lessons with a unit assigned to them will have unit-level standards listed first.
