Setting up your semester/year involves a few things: picking your start and end dates, creating a name for your planner, and adding your classes. The semester holds all your classes and lesson plans for the school year.
PowerSchool recommends creating a planner for the entire school year unless all your classes are semester-long (secondary). Your semester should cover the longest period of time that you are teaching the same students.
Select the Lessons tab
Select Semesters
Click Add Semester
The Create a New Semester window will appear.
Fill in the Semester Name
Dates: First Day of Class & Last Day of Class
Click Next
From the Create a New Semester window, you will have the option to:
1. Select Start a brand new semester
a. Select the days teaching (Monday - Friday)
b. Select Create
2. Select Copy a previous semester
a. Select a semester from the Copy Materials From dropdown menu
b. Select Create
