Lesson Scheduling Options

Copy lesson is a feature that can help save time when lesson planning if you are teaching multiple classes of the same content. With this feature, you can copy lessons to as many classes or days as you would like. 

Copying lessons will overwrite anything already written on the days being copied. Be careful not to copy to any dates with lesson content you do not want to lose. 

Within the lesson you would like to copy:

1. Click Options

2. Select Copy Lesson

3. Use the Calendar to select the date and class you would like to copy the lesson to

4. Select Copy

5. A window will appear that will remind you that copying the lesson will overwrite all content in the selected class for the day selected.  If you wish to continue, click Yes.

When you need to teach a lesson on a different day than initially scheduled, you can move it to a new date.

 As with copying and shifting, moving a lesson will overwrite any existing content on the selected date and time.  

Within the lesson you would like to move:

1. Click Options

2. Select Move Lesson

3. Use the Calendar to select the date and class you would like to move the lesson to

4. Select Move

5. A window will appear that will remind you that moving the lesson will overwrite all content in the selected class for the day selected.  If you wish to continue, click Yes.

When unexpected schedule changes occur, shifting lessons backward or forward one day is easy. 

Shifting a lesson backward will overwrite the lesson before it. If that lesson is empty, this will not be an issue, but if there is content on that day, the content will be lost. Shifting lessons backward will also result in all future lessons being pulled back one class. 

Shifting a lesson forward will shift all future lessons in that section forward one lesson.

Within the lesson you would like to shift:

1. Click Options

2. Under Shift Lesson, select either Back or Forward

3. Shifting Forward- A window will appear that will remind you that this will shift the lesson to the next available class, and shift all following lessons forward by one class.  Click yes if you wish to continue.

4. Shifting Back- A window will appear that will remind you that this will overwrite the previous lesson with this lesson therefore replacing all content and deleting any attachments it contains.  This cannot be reversed.  Click yes if you wish to continue.
