TRANSPORT REQUESTS

This Transport Request Form is designed for sports clubs at Sheffield Hallam University to request transport for activities that are not part of the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) schedule. This includes friendly fixtures, tournaments, events, team-building trips, or any other non-BUCS related activities.

Sport Hallam require at least 2 weeks to facilitate a transport request. If your request is for a weekend, please give a minimum of 3 weeks notice.

Please note that all transport requests are subject to availability, and submitting this form does not guarantee transport.

3 Weeks prior for Weekend Transport Requests
Email clubsport@shu.ac.uk to inform them of your submission
Request subject to availability - please have a back up plan in place

This guidance outlines the travel and reimbursement processes for Sport Hallam students attending BUCS fixtures and events, Performance and Scholarship Athlete competitions, and other approved sport-related activities. It includes eligibility criteria, reimbursement rates, travel requirements, and instructions for submitting expense claims.

Fuel is reimbursed at 25p per mile.
Journey start and end points must be within an 'S' postcode area for fuel claims to be approved.
Train travel may be arranged by Sport Hallam where it is the most practical or cost-effective option.
All claims must include appropriate supporting evidence, such as an AA route planner, train ticket, or taxi receipt.
