INTRODUCTION

The project type is an amenity-rich Independent seniors community with age-inclusive spaces for the surrounding neighbourhood and residents.

Acacia rethinks the public/private spaces of retirement facilities, delivering fine dining experiences, social activities, and resort-style amenities with safety and security.

Acacia provides residents with a place where they do not have to face a limitation of choice or separation from the community.

MAIN FLOOR

The main floor spaces include an abundance of sensory elements (lots of texture and details that promote change/ discovery) and safe design features that do not compromise aesthetics.

Acacia offers shopping/ entertainment amenities with warm hospitality aesthetics and a resort-like feel for the general public and residents.

The main features of the ground floor include the restaurant La Mesa - open for residents and regular customers, and the Acacia Rec Room and Game Board Cafe - featuring a small floral and gift shop on the top left, as well as convertible pool tables and putting green.

SECOND FLOOR

The atmospheric intent for the primary spaces (second floor) focuses on good air quality and natural light, emphasizing environmental health and beautifully seamless accessibility.

The spaces of concentration starting from the left are the chapel/ multi-purpose room for church/ fitness and events, the gathering space, and up at the top, the independent resident suites (including studio suites and a one-bedroom option).

The finishes focus on safety and durability - using the Forbo flocked flooring and commercial carpets, luxurious golden accent walls, rich upholstery, and tables with rounded, flowing edges. The suites all come with a spacious washroom - equipped with a simple one-piece vanity with seamless handle features integrated into the counter material, barrier-free shower with line drain, and fold-down seat.
