PROJECT BACKGROUND.

Social media presence has created in a shift in the way we socialize, how we connect, and what we value. Studies show the repercussions of social media addiction contributing to concerns primarily with physical, social, and emotional wellness.
Getting outdoors is a reset for our wellbeing. Summer camps specifically use nature as the foundation to a supportive community which fosters growth, friendships, and sense of belonging. Camping creates some the most memorable experiences for many, where authentic interactions and independence is built without the influence of the digital world.
The intent of Forge Collective is that of summer camp; a home away from home, a place for exploration, personal growth, authentic connections, and a chance to step away from online distractions.

CONCEPT.
A safe haven for the young adult and millennial population to feel a sense of belonging and renewal of social, physical, and emotional wellbeing. A genuine and authentic experience that is good for the soul.

Located on the main floor, the Cedar Social is the hub of the space where the community will come to gather around the fire, enjoy craft beer and campfire snacks, while playing games and listening to live music. This leisure space facilitates social interaction through various activities for users to feel a sense of comfort, belonging, and connection.

Located on the main floor, Ignite Studio is the fitness center where users will come to move their bodies through activities ranging from low to high intensity. The physical restoration center includes three studios where activities like spin and biking are included to bring the outdoors inside. Meditation studio and cedar saunas are featured for post-workout relaxation and mindfulness.

Located on the second level, Kin Creative is the creative zone catering towards hands-on activities that foster emotional wellbeing. With the intention to promote free-flowing expression, users will be able to attend classes and work on pottery/ceramics, woodworking, film photography and other various art forms.
