Posting & Advertising Policy

These guidelines prescribe locations and formats for the promotion and advertising of activities, programs, and services of interest to Mount Aloysius College students, faculty, and staff.

This policy explains who, how, what, when, and where items may be posted and/or advertised. It provides consistency, lessens fire concerns, promotes internal programming and events, and addresses overuse of fliers.

General Guidelines

  • All postings from student organizations, businesses, individuals, and non-MAC recognized groups may submit only two postings for each lobby (residence halls, academic buildings, and administrative buildings) (18). All postings must be brought to Student Affairs for approval. The department will review all postings to ensure compliance with Mount Aloysius College policies. The posting and promotion of any event or activity where alcohol is the primary focus will not be permitted. Postings will then be stamped and instructions for posting provided.

  • Individuals are not allowed to post materials in the residence halls on their own. Only Residence Life personnel may physically place postings (signs, fliers, and posters) in the residence halls.

  • Materials should be posted on designated bulletin boards and are prohibited from being posted on windows and fire doors.
