The Financial Aid Office assists students in financing their educational expenses through state, federal and institutional programs. When administering these programs, our staff works with all prospective students and current students. Financial Aid is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the academic year. During the summer, the Financial Aid Office is open Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

What is financial aid?
Financial aid consists of grants, loans, employment, and scholarships. These resources may assist you with meeting your educational expenses at Mount Aloysius College.
How do I receive financial aid?
You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for grants, federal loans, and employment (work-study). The application is available online. Just click the button above to file. Mount Aloysius’ FAFSA school code is 003302. You must be admitted to the college before your aid application can be processed.
The aid that you receive will depend on your eligibility as determined through the FAFSA, state, and federal regulations, and the availability of funds for specific programs with limited funding. The FAFSA is available on October 1st of each year to fill out for the upcoming school year.
When do I receive my aid?
Grants, loans, and scholarships will be shown in your MyMAC account. Most of these are applied directly to your account 6 to 8 weeks into each term. Once you complete all requirements, the aid will be released. Note that there are additional application steps for loans. You will receive information on these if a loan award is accepted. If your aid for the semester exceeds your charges, you will receive a refund via paper check. We will contact you via your school email address or Navigate if at any time we need to speak with you regarding your financial aid. All other correspondence will be mailed to your home address or the address you listed on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Tips to help you throughout the year
Remember you must file for financial aid every year and you can do this at any time after October 1 each year.
Stop by the Financial Aid Office throughout the year and check out the scholarships bulletin board. Scholarship information is received throughout the year from various groups and organizations.
Check your MyMAC email account or Navigate account often. We will notify you this way of important deadline dates, requirements and other information throughout the school year. • If you receive any type of financial aid, never drop a class or withdraw from college without first seeking the advice of the Financial Aid Office staff. Dropping or withdrawing can affect your financial aid now and in the future. Repeating a class will also affect your financial aid in the future so always check with the Financial Aid Office before you make a decision to drop, withdraw or repeat.
