The museum, built to resemble a 19th century French chateau and situated in downtown Saginaw, draws approximately 25,000 visitors per year with a very diverse background including all age groups, races and sexes and persons from urban, suburban and rural backgrounds. The gardens surrounding the museum are a part of the educational aspect of the museum and about 10 percent of the museum's patrons visit the gardens before or after their attendance in the museum. We educate our visitors with all of the varieties of trees, bushes, vines, annuals and perennials in the gardens - including their characteristics, strengths, weaknesses, feeding, watering, and pruning requirements.
