Year 8 students are starting to think about their skills, strengths and interests and setting goals for their future career. This will be further developed in Year 9 through the Year 9 Centre and the Career Insights program.

Year 9 students are completing their Career Action plan;  identifying their skills, strengths and interests; and considering whether to select a VCE unit in year 10. Students have completed their Morrisby on-line Careers assessment,  a resume and are actively researching their Future career options.

Year 10 students are about to make the important decision whether to choose a VCE or VCE:VM program; and what their main study focus will be for the next 2 years. 

• VCE:VM students will select a vocational certificate and find work placements (see the VET tab). 

• VCE students will decide which six subjects to choose and whether to include a VET study. VCE students also need to learn about Pre-requisites if they are hoping to undertake Tertiary study in the future.

Year 11 VCE students will finalise their subject choices for year 12 and make sure that they are selecting the right combination of subjects for future tertiary study, or employment. VCE:VM students should be organising their 2024 work placements, to increase their potential for an apprenticeship, or traineeship, or looking at TAFE training options for 2025.
