River Valley Photography Club
Every Wednesday, 3.30pm to 6.00pm
New members will be trained on the basics of photography during the first few sessions
Training heads will delve into different types of photography (e.g nature photography, street photography) to broaden our members' skills.
A few times each year, external vendors are engaged for members to learn from professionals.
Courses like event photography, food photography and studio photography are held to help our RVPC members develop different skills and gain insightful knowledge.
Connections with other schools allow members to share their experiences with those of different backgrounds, and learn new skills from each other.
During school events and celebrations, RVPC members may be allocated to do duty. We take pictures of the event and share it with the school!
Nope! RVPC owns DSLRs that members can use to practise during CCA sessions. Members can also loan the cameras if they are on duty.
We won’t have training sessions, but members may have to come back to school to take pictures for school events (e.g RV Anniversary celebrations). These school events may fall on the holidays.
RVPC is considered a main CCA in JC. Our sessions are on Wednesdays and they are compulsory. Hence, if you are applying for a second CCA, please ensure that CCA’s sessions do not clash with RVPC sessions. Otherwise, we cannot accept you into the CCA.
You don’t need prior expertise in photography to join RVPC! The training heads will train new members on the basics of photography in the first few sessions to ensure all members know how to work a camera fundamentally. As long as you have the heart to learn and practise, RVPC welcomes you to join us!
Follow us @rvpcshoots to catch up with our recruitment updates. Sign-up forms will be released there and through your class messages, so do keep a lookout!
