In line with our school mission, BLA serves as a platform to nurture students' bicultural acumen. We believe that bicultural leaders are well-versed in both English and Chinese language and cultures. They are able to navigate a multicultural landscape with their heightened global awareness and cross-cultural competencies.
立化双文化领袖学研中心旨在培养深思明辨、融贯中西、具备环球视野的学生领袖。他们精通双语、具备华族历史文化鉴赏能力，以及跨文化技能与环球意识，在变幻莫测的国际格局中游刃有余。

With the arrival of the post-pandemic era, the Bicultural Leaders Academy (BLA) is embarking on a significant new milestone. We are keenly aware that the most meaningful exchange of ideas flourishes through face-to-face interaction. Consequently, starting from 2024, we are officially shifting our focus from online social media engagement toward in-depth, in-person practice, and are proud to launch our new flagship activity—“Academy Time”.
随着后疫情时代的到来，立化双文化领袖学研中心（BLA）正迈向一个全新的里程碑 。我们深知，真正的思想碰撞源于面对面的交流。因此，从 2024 年起，我们正式将重心从线上社媒互动转向深度线下实践，并重磅推出全新旗舰活动——“学研思享” (Academy Time)
我们意识到，比起屏幕上的图文，面对面的对话更能激发灵感。学研思享的设立，正是为了给志同道合的同学们提供一个定期汇聚的平台 。在这里，我们告别碎片化的信息，投身于更有深度、更有温度的知识分享与学术探究中 。通过这一旗舰活动，我们致力于培养：
深思明辨的智者： 鼓励成员对变幻莫测的国际格局进行深度剖析 。
双语兼优的桥梁： 在跨学科的课题分享中，精进双语表达与沟通能力 。
具环球视野的领袖： 培养跨文化技能与环球意识，使成员在国际舞台上游刃有余 。
华族文化的学子： 深化对华族历史文化的鉴赏能力，提升文化底蕴 。

China Studies Perspectives Forum
China Studies Perspectives Forum
The China Studies Perspective Series was conceptualised by Business China in conjunction with River Valley High School. The Forum provides a truly bilingual and bicultural platform for students to glean Western and Eastern perspectives on China-related issues, enabling them to develop their unique vantage points, thereby building a learning community of China-conversant and globally-aware students. The Forum seeks to promote understanding and appreciation of differing philosophical orientations, political views and cultural nuances in international engagements. Singapore has traditionally been situated at the crossroad of cultures. It is imperative that Singaporean students continue to augment our unique capability to code-switch and engage effectively across cultures, and to play a bigger role in global connectivity.

“'透视中国'学生双语论坛”的构想由通商中国与立化中学共同提出,旨在建立一个真正双语双文化的校园平台,让各具东、西方视角的演讲嘉宾,从独特的学术及专业高度,同台交流探讨中国当下热点课题,从而培养一批深刻了解中国、具环球视野的学生。论坛旨在促进国际间不同哲学取向、政治视角,以及文化之间细微异同的相互接受度与理解程度。新加坡地处东西方文化融汇交流的交汇点,新加坡学生必须延续及加强我们游刃于东西方语言文化的独特能力,以便在全球联通的未来世界中,发挥更积极的作用,扮演更重要的角色。

BLA Research Symposium
The BLA Research Symposium is a platform for our members to showcase their research projects they worked on through the year. Members hone their critical thinking, collaboration and cross-cultural skills through working on these projects, gaining a deeper appreciation of cultural differences in politics, economies, and societies around the world. The Symposium also offers members an opportunity to interact with academics and professionals, allowing them to gain deeper insights and different perspectives.
双文化领袖学研中心学术研讨会
双文化领袖学研中心成员通过完成独立研习项目，以双文化视角深入分析中西文化、新中政治、经济和社会等课题，从而培养学生的独立研究及批判性思维能力。本活动提供一个与专家学者进行学术交流的平台，鼓励成员以融汇中西的双文化视角审视中西文化内涵及新中两国各方面的发展。

Q: Any pre-requisites?
A: Interested students need to offer at least one H2 Chinese subject.
Q: When will the CCA sessions usually be held?
A: CCA timings are on Mondays from 4.30pm to 6pm.
