The Eco-Sustainability Leadership Academy (TESLA) brings together a community of students who are passionate about creating meaningful and lasting change for a more sustainable future, at the individual, school, and community levels. ☀️🍃🌍💚

Beyond enriching weekly CCA sessions that deepen members’ understanding of environmental and sustainability issues in Singapore and beyond, TESLA serves as a platform for student leadership, advocacy, and action. 

Members conceptualise and lead initiatives that promote sustainable mindsets and practices, partnering stakeholders within the school and reaching out to the wider community. Through these experiences, TESLA empowers students to translate environmental awareness into informed action, responsible decision-making, and collective impact.

In TESLA i was able to attend many different events and programs, which allowed me to greatly broaden my horizons and learn so much more about the environment and eco-sustainability. Moreover, there are many opportunities given in TESLA for us to hone our leadership skills and plan programmes and events for the CCA and the whole school.

One of my most memorable experiences in TESLA would definitely be the first session where we were first introduced to our amiable  seniors. After a fun ice-breaker, we were briefed on the different committees within the CCA and overview of the many fun activities we could look forward to such as the waterway cleanup. While it was unfortunate that Covid struck and many of the events were changed to online meetups, they were still enriching and taught us more about eco-sustainability. Last but not least, the free pizzas after the introductory session definitely solidified the day as one of my most memorable experiences being in TESLA.
