RV STEM Fest

This is a nation-wide competition for Primary 6 students to explore the world of STEM, jointly organised by the SLA and the Mathematics Leaders Academy. This event is an enhanced edition of the West Zone Junior Science Whiz Challenge Inter-Primary School Quiz, which ran from 2007 to 2023.

RV Model United Nations (Science & Tech Councils)

In March, the SLA collaborates with the History and Current Affairs Society to organise various international science and technology councils at the RV Model United Nations (RVMUN), where delegates debate and draft sustainable resolutions to global issues while upholding the free and responsible practice of science.

SLA Day 

An annual event conducted in two parts, it fosters camaraderie among SLA members across levels through leadership training and team-bonding activities such as mass and station games, which hone creative and critical thinking skills. Alumni will also return to RVHS on this homecoming occasion to share their experiences in higher education, careers, and scholarships in the fields of Science and Technology.

Global Science Village OELP 

Students will embark on an overseas experiential learning programme (OELP) to visit renowned science research establishments (e.g. Shanghai Jiaotong University, international research institutes at MIT and Harvard University). They will also participate in international summer school programmes and collaborative research projects with our overseas partner schools in China, USA, etc.
