About Us
Chess Club aims to foster and further develop the passion for both competitive and recreational chess in our school community. We aim to gather like-minded individuals who enjoy and are passionate about the game of chess, so as to provide these students with the time and space to pursue their interest in chess.
With the guidance of our dedicated coach, students will have the opportunity to refine their skills, learn advanced strategies, and receive structured training. In our CCA, students will be able to get used to playing chess over the board instead of online, and provide them with the opportunity to explore competitive chess. This opportunity will come in the form of inter-school competitions and club-based competitions.
We are looking for players who are able to stay committed and are willing to learn, regardless of skill level!

What We Do
This year, we are excited to have a dedicated chess coach to further enhance our training. Under his guidance, members will receive structured coaching, personalized feedback, and deeper insights into advanced chess strategies, helping them improve their gameplay and prepare for competitions.
Our weekly sessions will consist of 2 halves. The first half of our session will focus on learning through coach-led training, online content, or student-led programs, while the second half will be reserved for practice with our club members.
Once a month, our club will hold its signature Club Rating Games, where our members will spar against each other for a spot on the competitive team, which would unlock opportunities for them to take part in external competitions!
