Mobile Member Care Team – West Africa

Mobile Member Care Team (MMCT) is a cooperative, inter-mission ministry that provides training, consultation, referral and direct crisis response for missionaries on the field. 

MMCT exists to strengthen the mission community for healthy, loving service in the midst of challenge, change and crisis through a ministry of equipping, preserving and restoring missionaries.

MMCT-WA was launched in May 2000 and was located in Abidjan , Côte d'Ivoire from that time until December 2002 when the civil war forced them to relocate. They are now centrally located in Accra, Ghana and serve the 14 countries from Senegal to Nigeria .

The team also responds to crises by providing early intervention, assessment, referral and consultation to peer responders and mission leaders.

Tumaini Counselling Centre, Kenya 

The on-field counselling ministries of AIM, SIL, and affiliated organizations are based at Tumaini Counselling Center in Nairobi, Kenya. While we serve the members of these organizations, our services also support missionaries from over 160 like-minded agencies throughout Africa. 

The Dwelling, Thailand

Located in Chiang Mai, Thailand, The Dwelling is a private and comfortable retreat home for missionaries serving in Asia.  In partnership with The Well Member Care Center and Cornerstone Counseling, its purpose is to help provide spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational care to missionaries teams and families.  Our goal is to promote refreshment, growth, and unity so that workers remain strong and healthy, reaching the world with the Good News.  For those receiving Member Care during their stay, the home is provided for FREE.

The Juniper Tree, Thailand 

Since 1977, The Juniper Tree has been offering rest and refreshment for Christian workers in Asia, working in situations outside of their own culture. They are an evangelical, non-denominational, charitable foundation, set up to provide places where individuals, couples or families can come to find physical and spiritual refreshment to enable them to return to their sphere of service.

We are not a guest house or hotel, but rather our aim is to provide a home away from home, for Christian workers on a low budget to come and enjoy the peaceful environment. 

The Juniper Tree has 2 different locations, one at Hua Hin, on the Gulf of Thailand, south-west of Bangkok and the other in Chiang Mai, Thailand’s bustling second city, in the north of the country.

The 631 Solution is a nonprofit organization providing rest, encouragement, pastoral care and equipping to cross-cultural Christian workers in order to keep them healthy and effective in their field of service.

CYPRUS 

Katafiyio Anglican Retreat House is in the small village of Kapedes, 30 km south of Nicosia, on the edge of Machairas Forest. It is ideally situated to provide a place of relaxation for anyone to take timeout forrest, quiet reflection and prayer. Individuals and small groups (up to 20 people) are welcome for retreats and quiet days. 

FRANCE

Restored and Renewed Chateau  Situated at the edge of the Champagne region in eastern France, Chateau Claire Fontaine is a beautiful escape from the busy world. With twelve bedrooms and a beautiful view of the French countryside, we have plenty of room for you to find a quiet corner and rest. Christian Holiday and Conference Center

Interested in waking to the sound of cow bells and sunlight streaming into the valley from the Italian Alps? OM Italy has a center that offers quality accommodation for about 200 persons (and 25 beds are suitable for disabled persons) and several conference rooms. Christian Hospitality Network - Missionary Getaways

Since 2002 the Christian Hospitality Network has hosted 20 Missionary GetAways in 4-5 star hotels outside the U.S. Over 4,650 missionaries have been given 4 days of rest and regeneration near their fields of service. A hospitality team from the U.S. including doctors, chiropractors, hair stylist, counselors, and a worship team pay their own way to take the message that these front line workers are appreciated and not forgotten by the body of Christ.

Barnabas Zentrum 

Barnabas Zentrum is specially designed to strengthen the lives of Christian workers who are serving in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. It serves as an interdenominational personal and marital retreat center for pastors, missionaries and others in church and para church staff positions.

Hospitality Homes International

Makahiki Ministries has provided a rest and hospitality ministry for hundreds of Christian workers. Hospitality Homes International is our network of over 120 homes worldwide. These homes are privately owned by Christian hosts in the spirit of Romans 12:13 "Share with God's people in need . . practice hospitality." They are available to workers seeking spiritual and physical renewal at a nominal donation to the ministry.
