• Indication:
Ofloxacin is indicated for the treatment of:
• Respiratory tract infections
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhea
• Eye and ear infections (in the form of drops)
Precautions & Contraindications:
Precautions:
• Use with caution in patients with seizure disorders
• Avoid excessive sunlight (risk of photosensitivity)
• Monitor liver and kidney function during prolonged use
Contraindications:
• Hypersensitivity to ofloxacin or other quinolones
• Children and adolescents (due to risk of joint/tendon damage)
• Pregnant and breastfeeding women
