Flip

Flip (formerly Flipgrid) provides a simple way for teachers and students to continue classroom conversations by assigning questions as homework assignments.  Pose questions that spark thoughtful video responses.   Students are then able to plan out and record short video responses to prompts from the teacher.   Ask students to share their thoughts on a current hot-topic, have them describe the process they used to solve a complex math problem, or provide them with the opportunity to post mini media reviews.  The 'grid' is a way to collect a range of student responses on a single topic.   Students can learn to formulate ideas into 90-second bites and consider alternate viewpoints as they listen to their peers' responses. The possibilities are endless.
