Ptable

Ptable is an interactive site of the periodic table. Just click on an element and a Wikipedia article pops up without having to leave the site.

Periodic Table of Videos

This interactive site from the University of Nottingham brings students to a YouTube video of the element they select. Check out the Slow Motion Chemistry (https://goo.gl/4GFLsK)

The Periodic Table of Elements in Pictures and Words

This interactive site gives students info on how the element is used with a description and pic of an object that uses the element.

AACT American Association of Chemistry Teachers

AACT is a professional community by and for k - 12 teachers of chemistry. There is a cost to become a member but some of their material is free such as simulations k - 12

ChemCollective

As a project in the National Science Digital Library (NSDL) (https://nsdl.oercommons.org/), the ChemCollective's goals are to support a community of instructors interested in improving chemistry education through interactive and engaging online activities.

The ChemCollective is a collection of virtual labs, scenario-based learning activities, tutorials, and concept tests. Teachers can use our content for pre-labs, for alternatives to textbook homework, and for in-class activities for individuals or teams. Students can review and learn chemistry concepts using our virtual labs, simulations, and tutorials. The ChemCollective is organized by a group of faculty and staff at Carnegie Mellon who are interested in using, assessing, and creating engaging online activities for chemistry education.

Learn Chemistry

The purpose of Learn Chemistry is provide educators with resources for teaching chemistry lessons to students of all ages. The database of instructional resources has more than 2700 entries organized according to topic, age of students, and media type.

Visual Elements Periodic Tablet

An interactive display of the Periodic Table of Elements. Click on any element in the table to reveal important information about that element. Many of the element information pages include short videos.
