Math: Measurement, Geometry and Spatial Sense, Number Sense and Numeration (Cross Curricular opportunities: Science, Language, Arts)
Students will use the Dash robots to create an interactive dance within the parameters of the dance carpet. Students will learn to work together to problem solve and collaborate in order to estimate and compare length and area, using standard and non standard units of measurement.
Introduce the dance challenge to the class. Ask them to create a dance with the two dash robots where parts of the dance are in sync and parts of the dance are different. The robots cannot step out of the parameters of the learning carpet or dance floor. Robots should speak to and interact with one another. The dances should be no longer than 2 minutes, and must include at least 10 pieces of code.
