AI in Education  

The role of Artificial Intelligence in education is fast-moving and offers many potential benefits relating to workload management, teacher effectiveness, inclusive practice and learner autonomy. However, some risks and challenges need careful management. 

Members of the EdTech Hubs community are exploring the potential benefits and managing the related risks. They share their insights below. This is fast-moving topic though, so presentations will date quickly as the speakers acknowledge within their presentations below.

LGfL piloted the Teach Mate AI platform in Primary, Secondary, and SEND school contexts during the Spring / Summer of 2024. The pilot highlighted a number of practical ways in which AI can help teachers understand how to manage their workload more effectively and also become more effective in their role along the way.
