Desktops are generally connected to the network via a wired Ethernet connection. They are distributed with a wired USB keyboard, mouse and a monitor.
Laptops may connect to the network via a wired or wireless connection. Wireless configuration must be done by a district technician. Laptops generally have a smaller keyboard form factor and a trackpad instead of a mouse.
Google Chromebooks are now being offered to students and staff. The Chromebook typically connects to a network via a wireless connection. They offer cloud computing and lack large internal storage. Chromebooks are built around a users Google account (primarily Gmail and Google Drive).
Apple iPads are also available to certain students and staff. The iPad connects to the Internet via a wireless connection and is managed by our Mobile Device Management software JAMF. Apple iPads offer cloud storage.
