A warm welcome
Firstly, we would like to welcome Mr. Bradley, who is currently the Director of Learning for Humanities to the Mandela Team! Mr. Bradley will be joining us as Assistant Head of College.
Take Care Year 11
Year 11 have had a really busy few months, working hard and completing their GCSE and BTEC examinations. We are proud of how hard they have worked, and look forward to seeing them for results day on 24th August!
It was lovely to welcome them back to the academy for their final leavers' assembly, and share the laughter (and tears), as we took a trip back down memory lane to 2018, and watched how they have grown, both in size, but also in confidence as well. We are so proud of them and look forward to the next stage of their educational journey!
Sports Day Successes
The Academy sports' days have been very successful for Mandela! Below are our overall winners from each year group. We'd also like to congratulate Samuel, from Mandela 01, on his successful first 800m win at the Kent School Championships in June, as well as representing Bexley at the London Youth Games at Parliament Hill in November last year! Samuel also broke a long-standing Academy and also the district 1500m record at the District Championships as well!

Mandela successes outside of the academy
We always try to celebrate Mandela successes beyond the classroom, as we know so many of our students are involved with a wide range of events! Tabitha in Year 8 took part in the JamFEST Europe cheer competition in Liverpool, recently. She and her cheer squad won the second prize in a very competitive category!
