T Levels

Launch of our inaugural T-Level Education and Early Years Technical Qualification

Post 16 Taster Day 1

The T-Level team were excited to welcome our prospective students to the two-day taster session. Students were well-informed about the course, what to expect in class as well as in work placement. It was an excellent session allowing students to find out more about the course, and the work placements as well as ask questions and voice their opinions.

We were privileged to have one of our work placement provider; Bright Horizons Nurseries, come in to present to the students. They aim to provide students with the opportunity to gain relevant experience and technical and practical skills in the nursery environment.

The session was packed with incredible activities that were tailored to specific skills required of our students during the duration of this course.

Activities range from Physical Development to Expressive Arts and Design. Students were super excited as they supported one another in nappy changing, jewellery making (pasta necklaces), and finally in an egg drop team-building activity.

Post 16 Taster Day 2

We are delighted to announce that Dartford Primary Academy will be working in collaboration with The Leigh Academy to offer students work placements to meet the 750 engagement hours required for this exciting qualification.

Our T-Level taster students were welcomed into the nursery and reception classes on day 2 to experience the workplace and observe teacher-child interaction.

Students were proactive, enjoyed playing with the children and asked the right questions. They began to understand the relevance of specific activities that help with development.

We are really proud of our incoming cohort, they all conducted themselves in a professional manner and we can already see the next generation of childcare providers blossoming.
