What are apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes designed around the needs of employers, which lead to nationally recognised qualifications. Apprentices are employed from the get-go and receive a wage and support from a company that is committed to their development. Our training programmes can be delivered both in the workplace and at college.
We have over 150 apprenticeship training programmes available across a range of levels and in subjects like:
Engineering
Construction
Marketing
Business
Science
Finance
Digital and IT
Travel, Food & Drink
Hair & Beauty
What are the benefits of apprenticeships?
Training takes place during work and at college. Apprentices benefit from:
High-quality training at a vocational college
A wage and supportive employer
Hands-on experience and insight of a chosen industry
The opportunity to progress to university
Achieving a recognised industry-standard qualification
Harrogate College, Keighley College and Leeds City College all offer a wide range of apprenticeships covering all industry sectors.
