April is Stress Awareness Month! Stress Awareness Month has been held every April since 1992 to increase public awareness about the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic.
Check out the LAB Wellbeing Classroom for more information and activities to get involved in, for example...
In order to tackle those daily stressors why not take part in the 30 Day Challenge?
This challenge encourages daily activities which target 3 areas: Physical, Emotional & Mental, to help you positively manage your stress!
...OR you could get creative and check out the mindfulness colouring book!
...OR you could try a bit of meditation with this calming, mindfulness video!
We are looking forward to hearing all about your Stress Busting techniques after Easter!

During this global pandemic, we are facing very difficult circumstances.
Here at LAB, we recognise this common struggle and are keen to support both parents or carers and students during this unprecedented time. We want you to know that we are here for you.
Sometimes it can be difficult to know what to do when faced with a challenge within the family and even with access to the internet, a fantastic research tool, you can sometimes come away feeling more lost or unsure.
We have, therefore, collated a selection of trusted online resources that cover a variety of different issues that may be affecting families during this time.
Below we have also included specific points of contact within LAB. If you feel your child needs individual support we have a fantastic Pastoral Care Team who are able to provide that through weekly Pastoral Sessions and regular check ins.

Just a reminder that we are promoting www.kooth.com as a free, safe and anonymous online support for young people. On Kooth, students can chat to a friendly counsellor, read articles written by young people, get support from the Kooth community and write in a daily journal. There is also a short four minute video on the homepage, which we encourage parents to watch too!
