Hi
My name is Helen Eteri. I was born at Beru Island but grown up on Tarawa Island. I am the only child who had no siblings, 22 years of age and already taken. We had two kids. Our first-born child was a boy named Eteri and our second child was likewise a boy named Koinaa. I am blessed to have them in my life. However, now we are staying at Teaoraereke, antenon at my husbands’ place.
Being a teacher is not the aspiration I desired initially, but my mother is a teacher, so she keeps on telling me to apply to KTC since the teacher is the best career among all jobs. I didn’t want to apply but since children are the most priority in my life, so it was the best chance for me to be closed to them and that why it influenced me to apply to KTC. I applied three times but luckily, I passed on my third attempt and that why I am becoming now one of a member of a trainee teacher.
However, it was my first year studying at KTC. My pleasure to meet every different face while entering the compound, my colleagues, lectures, and staffs. I knew that this career is the most difficulty and not an easy errand to confront, but because I want to give hands and assist teach students new knowledge, skills, and abilities in order to meet their full potential, and I am willingly accepting all the consequences of this profession.
