Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi ʻAlihilani Alumni Center
Starting in the summer of 2026, Poʻo Kumu Lehua Veincent will be stepping into a new K-12 role as the Head of Student Health and Well-Being. This role was created to uplift and enhance the systems that care for our haumāna-from Kula Haʻahaʻa through Kula Kiʻekiʻe, in areas such as safety, mental health, counseling, and overall well-being. It reflects a commitment to ensuring that every haumana is supported in consistent, culturally informed, haumana-centered ways.
Kumu Lehua is not leaving Kula Kiʻekiʻe. This is not a goodbye.
He was invited into this new role because of his strong pilina with our haumāna, the trust he has built over many years, and his steady, thoughtful leadership. His presence at Kula Kiʻekiʻe will remain strong. For now, nothing changes. Kumu Lehua will continue to serve as our Kula Kiʻekiʻe Poʻo Kumu through the end of this school year.
Mahalo nui for the aloha you continue to show to one another, to our haumāna, and to our entire kauhale. We are committed to keeping you informed and uplifted as we move through this transition together, for someone as beloved and held as our Kumu Lehua.
Aloha e Nā Pua a Pauahi,
No matter where your journey takes you after high school, Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi will always be your home - and we are here to walk with you every step of the way. As your Higher Education Transition Specialists, our role is to support your transition into life after KSH, whether you are navigating college, career, or a different path entirely.
Our team is made up of two groups who bring different experiences and perspectives to help meet you where you are:
Malcolm Helm and Zoe Leonard '15 work closely with alumni in their first two years after high school. They provide guidance on adjusting to life as a young adult, accessing campus resources, managing time and wellness, and exploring your personal goals as you settle into this next chapter.
Makana Campbell '17 and Makana Craig '07 support alumni who are three or more years beyond high school. Their focus includes career development, networking, professional growth, and continued educational planning, helping you take your next steps with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose.
While our specialties may vary, our commitment remains the same; we support all alumni, no matter your timeline, location, or path. We’re here to listen, guide, and celebrate your growth because we believe in your purpose, potential, and ability to create a meaningful future. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or well along your path, you are never alone. Our team is here to help you navigate challenges, discover new opportunities, and stay connected to your Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi ʻohana. I Mua Kamehameha!
