E hoāla kākou i ke pono o ko kākou mau poe i ola kākou a pau loa no nā haumana a pau. Continue to evoke ourselves upon what is right for our people, so that we are able to thrive for all generations.
E nānā ʻoe i ke alaula! Look towards the red path! One of the blessings of Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi is that we belong to an area where the sun first rises in the early dawn. The red pathway established by the rising of the sun widens throughout the day. It's a symbol of opportunities. It brings forth successes and challenges each day that we embrace so that we are able to make the best choice as we travel upon our own individual pathway. As you travel upon the alaula...keep your peripheral vision in check and keep your destination ahead in clear view. Hoāla...evoke yourselves each day with the knowledge of your kupuna and the knowledge bestowed upon you here at Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi. Use it to propel yourself forward and fulfill your dreams and those of your ʻohana and school. E nānā ʻoe i ke alaula!
E ō mai e nā haumāna o ka papa makahiki 2018! To members of the class of 2018 - Hoʻomaikaʻi iā ʻoukou a pau loa! Congratulations on your commencement. Continue to hoāla - evoke yourselves upon these pathways that you travel with pono and aloha. Kū I Ka Mana - You are who you are because of how you were raised. Continue to be the representatives of your ʻohana, your community, and your school. You will always be a Pua a Ke Aliʻi Pauahi. A hui hou kākou! E OLA E KANALOA!
