In April 2020, Spc. Vanessa Guillen was reported missing from Fort Hood. On June 30, 2020, her remains were found off base. Spc. Aaron Robinson and Cecily Aguilar were suspected of her murder. While trying to detain Spc. Robinson, he committed suicide. Cecily Aguilar has since pleaded guilty to the murder and has testified to Spc. Robinson's involvement and motive. Because he is dead, we will never really know for sure his involvement or the motive behind the crime.
