Since the 1970s, the murdered bodies of 33 girls and women have been found in a fielded area about a mile from I-45 in League City, Texas. This area has since been nicknamed the "Texas Killing Fields". Very few of the murders have been solved, and those that have been solved were based on the confessions of prisoners or coerced during interrogation. There have been many theories as to who may be responsible for these murders.
