On July 13, 2014, Conrad Roy committed suicide. For months, Michelle Carter played the grieving girlfriend. Although she was questioned about Roy's death in October, she wasn't officially charged with involuntary manslaughter until February 2015. She was found guilty on June 16, 2017 and was sentenced to serve 15 months in prison of a 2.5 years sentence plus 5 years of probation.
