Welcome to the passion project! Here you have complete freedom (mostly) on what you wish to build.
Start thinking about what you could build. Lets brainstorm as a class.
A) Where are devices like this used in the real world? Explain the industry and specific use
B) Provide a photo/video of an existing device
C) Discuss at least one benefit of using devices like these
D) Discuss at least one drawback of using devices like these
Remember to put these on your MS Rover Robotics Online Portfolio
Sketch
In your robotics planning pad, create an annotated sketch of the device you wish to build.
Remember to annotate the following:
Gears
Motors
Sensors
Potential movement (use arrows to signify this)
Overall design from 2 different angles
Requirements for this project:
Fun and original design (not a repeat of a previous challenge)
Appropriate and relevant use of three sensors (2 can be of the same)
Use of functions in the programming (functions must be called at least twice)
Simulation of a real-life device/solution
Struggling for ideas?
Robot hand (prosthetics)
Rubix cube solver
2 axis robot arm
Production line
Mini bowling alley
Crane
Make sure your MS Rover Robotics Online Portfolio is clearly labelled and every image is a suitable size.
