To create a thrill ride
ALL students will: Be able to meet around half of the critieria outlined below
MOST students will: Be able to meet around 75% of the criteria outlined below
SOME students may: Be able to meet 100% of the criteria outlined below
Students are challenged to design and build a thrill ride which fits the criteria below.
a) Now is the time to test that your device works
b) Discuss with your partner about the devices performance and make any small changes which may be necessary
c) Your teacher will formally assess your devices performance (see grading rubric below)
d) Place a video of your device doing its job on your portfolio
Performance:
There is a designated area designed for humans to be placed
The ride gradually increases in speed at the beginning and gradually slows down at the end
The ride starts and ends using a touch sensor
The ride is designed so that humans can easily enter at the beginning of the ride and exit at the end
The ride plays a suitable sound at the beginning and end of the ride
Video of your device doing its job
Effort and participation
Make sure your MS Rover Robotics Online Portfolio is clearly labelled and every image is a suitable size.
