LAST REMINDER Nimitz RWL Exhibition Day 3/6/26- This school year, Nimitz Elementary School teachers have continued to work on our new initiative to build more real world experiences for our students. Part of this new initiative is students exhibiting the results of their real world problem project to their parents and community partners. Tomorrow, you are welcome to come to campus at 1:20pm (Aupaka Gate will be open at that time) to see all the amazing work our students have accomplished. We encourage you to not only see your child’s project, but the projects in all of our classrooms. See this flier for more information.
Yearbook Sales- You can now buy your school yearbook for the 2025-2026 school year online using this link. The deadline for purchasing your yearbook is Friday, March 27, 2026. Kids Heart Challenge Event 3/13/26- Our Kids Heart Challenge Jump Rope Event will take place on March 13th at the NES basketball court! Click here for KHC Event grade level times. Please remind your children to wear covered shoes, dress comfortably, and bring a water bottle. Parents are welcome to attend; however, for safety reasons, they may not jump with their child. All visiting parents will need to sign in at the office before heading to the courts.
Operation Purple Camp- The National Military Family Association wants to take your traditional summer camp to the next level! Their free one-week overnight camp is exclusively for military kids and creates a space for them to celebrate all the ways Military Kids Serve Too. They build community, connection, and resilience with the support of Military and Family Life Counselors, camp counselors, and military kids of all service branches. Click here for more information.
Kindergarten Registration SY26-27 NOW OPEN- To our families who have a child that has turned, or will be turning 5 between August 1, 2025 and July 31, 2026, registration is now open for your Kindergarten child. Absence Reporting Reminder- If you know your child will be absent, it is important you notify us using our absence reporting system. You can report an absence using this link, which is also available on our website and at bit.ly/NESAbsenceReport.
Spring Break Reading Challenge- Continue to build your child’s love of reading this spring break by completing the spring break reading challenge! The paper will be sent home this week. You and your student can complete this activity during break. This is an optional activity. Students who complete their challenge will get to choose a prize from a toy capsule machine during their next library class. Please submit the reading challenge sheet into your child’s classroom teacher by Tuesday, March 24th. No late submissions will be

Month of the Military Child Drawing Contest: The PTO is excited to announce our Month of the Military Child Drawing Contest! Entries are due by March 13th. The winning artwork will be featured on the official 2026 Month of the Military Child banner!
Contest Guidelines: Artwork must be on paper no longer than 11x17, use bold, bright colors (image will be transferred digitally), design may be portrait or landscape, no weapons in the drawing, entries can be dropped off in the front office, digital entries are also accepted.
We can’t wait to see our students’ creativity shine as we celebrate our amazing military kids!
