Aloha Festival Important Reminders
Aupaka Gate- The Aupaka Gate will have a modified opening time from 7:10am to 11:00am. If you are coming from JBPHH, it is highly recommended you walk to the festival to minimize parking issues on Main Street.
Aloha Festival Court Student Arrival- If your child is in the Aloha Festival Court, they must report to the office at 7:15am for early preparations.
Backfield Entrance- Parents will need to enter the audience area through our backfield gate off of Main Street. Parents will NOT be permitted to enter the audience area through the campus. Should you drop off your children directly at the classroom, you will be asked to go back around the campus to enter the audience area at the backfield entrance.
First Come-First Serve Seating- Please come with your own chairs for seating. This is an outdoor event, and seating will be determined by how early you come.
Photo Area- There will be a designated area for parents of the performing students to get closer to the performance area during their child’s performance. However, we will ask these parents to please kneel while taking photos and video in order to keep viewing available to the rest of the audience.
Signing Out of Students- We understand many parents will want to sign out their children early from school tomorrow. You must sign your child out directly from the classroom after the performance. The front gate of campus will be opened at the conclusion of the festival, where parents may re-enter campus after exiting at the backfield.
Identification- Some classes may have a substitute teacher, therefore IDs will need to be on hand to confirm parent/guardian pickup.
Yearbook Distribution - Exciting news! Our Nimitz Yearbooks have arrived! All pre-ordered yearbooks will be sent home with students on Tuesday May 26, 2026. If you haven't secured your copy yet, a limited number are still available. Please visit the office for further details.

Outstanding Meal Account Balances- If you have received a negative balance or email please make payments on accounts with negative balances by the end of the school year. Payments can be made online at the EZPay website or by bringing cash or check to the school. For families leaving, all accounts need to be in good standing to receive your exit packets. Additionally, all autopay options need to be removed from the account before the end of the school year so as not to trigger a continued automatic deposit. This can cause a delay in receiving a requested refund in the future.
IMPORTANT Next Year Report Form- As we come to Quarter 4 of the school year, we understand a significant amount of our families may be making preparations to move due to permanent change of station orders. In anticipation of this, and in preparation for the next school year, it is important our administrative staff has the best understanding of the enrollment for next school year. Please fill out this survey regarding your child(ren)'s status for next school year. If you have multiple children, please fill out this survey for each of your Nimitz ES children.
Absence Reporting Reminder- If you know your child will be absent, it is important you notify us using our absence reporting system. You can report an absence using this link, which is also available on our website and at bit.ly/NESAbsenceReport.
Nimitz PTO
Ice Cream Treat: On the last day of school, Hickam Communities will be providing an ice cream treat for students as they exit campus. We will be located in the grassy area near the school exit. Please note that treats are reserved for enrolled students only, as quantities were estimated based on student enrollment numbers. Unfortunately, siblings and additional family members will not be able to receive a treat. We look forward to helping students celebrate the last day of school!
