Evacuation Drill Tomorrow (1/30)- If you remember in previous messages, we had to postpone some of our annual drills from December due to inclement weather. One of them was our off campus evacuation drill, which will be happening tomorrow at roughly 12:45pm. We will be evacuating to Lynch Field. In case your children are mentioning something about evacuating campus, please know that it is only a drill.
Waiver Day and Teachers Institute Day- We’d like our families to be aware that there is a long weekend coming up due to our upcoming Waiver Day and Teacher’s Institute Day, both for teacher professional development on 2/6 and 2/9 respectively. These will be non-instructional days.
AVID Wall Update- Have you ever shaken a snow globe and wondered what it would be like to be trapped inside? Our 5th-grade students have taken this imaginative prompt and spun it into captivating narratives and stunning artwork. Journey through the pages of their stories, where icy landscapes and magical creatures come to life. Discover the challenges and triumphs of characters who must navigate a world confined by glass and formulate a plan to escape. Accompanying these tales are breathtaking illustrations replicating snowglobes that bring the stories to life. Each artwork is a unique masterpiece, capturing the essence of the narrative and inviting you to explore the details. See their work on our Nimitz AVID Page.
