PTO Family Night is TONIGHT- The Nimitz PTO would for you to join us for a fun-filled Family Movie Night on Friday, December 5th! Enjoy free crafts, a movie, cookies, and hot cocoa. It’s a great way to kick off the holiday season together! Please let us know you’re coming so we can plan enough treats for everyone! RSVP here!

Holiday Spirit Days 12/8-12/12 - In collaboration with our Nimitz PTO we present “Festive Spirit Days”. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we’ll be showing our holiday spirit my dressing in our festive holiday attire. The Nimitz PTO may have some treats for the students who participate!

• Monday 12/8 Candy Cane Lane- Wear red and white or wear your favorite candy cane themed clothing.

• Wednesday 12/10 Whoville Surprise- Dress up as your favorite Whoville character or a present for the day.

• Friday 12/12 Pajama Day- Wear your coziest, comfiest, and festive holiday pajamas.

SAVE THE DATE Nimitz Winter Program 12/19- Every year, Nimitz Elementary students and staff host our parents/guardians and community members for our annual Winter Program. This year, the program falls on 12/19, so please save the date. Details on showings and performances to come.

• Papa John’s Profit Share Night: Mark your calendars! Grab dinner at Papa John’s on Friday December 5th, and help support our school. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated back to our school as a part of a special Profit Share Night!

  • Here’s how you can help:

    • When: Friday, December 5th

    • Where: Papa John’s- Salt Lake location

    • How: Turn in your receipt or the sticker from your pizza box to our PTO Mailbox (located in the front office).  

• Soaring Stars: Promote positivity at Nimitz! Tell us about a Nimitz Elementary teacher/staff member who has been doing a fabulous job lately or someone who has helped you out by filling out this FORM with a compliment or shout out. A winner will be randomly selected monthly to receive a gift card. 

  • Congratulations to our November Soaring Star winner Mrs. J. Kam! Her dedication, creativity, and the heartfelt care she brings to her classroom make an incredible impact on our students each and every day. Thank you for helping our students soar, Mrs. J. Kam!

• Spirit Gear: Show your school pride with our brand new spirit gear. Make sure to put your students name and teachers room number and we’ll drop it off. We also have previous years shirts on sale for $5. Order HERE
