4/24/2025- Updates and Reminders

Next Year Report Form- As we come to Quarter 4 of the school year, we understand a significant amount of our families may be making preparations to move due to permanent change of station orders. In anticipation of this, and in preparation for the next school year, it is important our administrative staff has the best understanding of the enrollment for next school year. Please fill out this survey regarding your child(ren)'s status for next school year. If you have multiple children, please fill out this survey for each of your Nimitz ES children. 

SAVE THE DATE Nimitz Aloha Festival- In case you haven’t done it yet, please start saving the date for our Nimitz Elementary Aloha Festival. The festival, which will feature many performances by our students, will be on the morning of 5/23/2025. We hope to see our family and community there. 

Aupaka Gate Bike Racks- We have received reports again that many students are not locking their bikes up at the bike racks near the Aupaka Gate, and are instead leaving them off to the side and in front of walkways into the gate. If you have a child that rides their bicycle to the Aupaka Gate, please ensure they are locking or at least parking it on the racks appropriately.

Absence Form Reminder- Should your child not be coming to school on instructional days, please make sure you inform us using our Absence Report Form. This can be found on our website, or just save the bit.ly for quick access in the future (bit.ly/NESAbsenceReport).

• Final call to Join the PTO for the 2025-2026 School Year: We are looking for dedicated parents to fill various PTO positions for the upcoming school year. If you’re interested in making a positive impact on our school community and supporting our students and teachers, we would love to have you involved! We look forward to working together to make the 2025-2026 school year a success!

• Nimitz Swag Clearance Sale: Mark your calendar for April 25th after school for the school swag clearance sale. We will be located in the grassy area just inside the school. We will have school shirts available for just $15 each, lanyards $2, and stickers for $2. It’s a great opportunity to stock up on spirit wear and show off your school pride.

• Game Night & PTO Board Election: We’re excited to invite you and your family to our Family Game Night and PTO board Election on Friday May 9th! It’s going to be a night full of fun, community, and excitement, and we would love for you to be a part of it. This will be our final game night of the school year, so don’t miss out on the fun! We can’t wait to see you there and celebrate the end of the year together.

• Teacher Appreciation Week May 4-9: We are so excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week and show our incredible educators just how much they mean to us! Throughout the week, we’ll have fun themes and multiple opportunities for students and families to share their gratitude in meaningful ways. Let’s make this week extra special for the amazing educators who inspire, support, and shape our students every single day. Thank you for helping us make them feel the love!

• Soaring Stars: Promote positivity at Nimitz!  Tell us about a Nimitz Elementary teacher/staff member who has been doing a fabulous job lately or someone who has helped you out by filling out this form with a compliment or shout out. A winner will be randomly selected monthly to receive a gift card.
