Since SY22-23, Nimitz Elementary and the Radford Complex Schools have begun a new initiative in bringing Real World Learning experiences to our students. This new initiative will push students into authentic experiences to solve real world problems, work outside of the four walls of the classroom, and get them to work with community partners in the process. Nimitz Elementary 4th Graders are working to create a non-profit organization that works to help get necessary items like school supplies, clothing, etc. to those in need. They have just created a website to help them organize their effort and get the message out. You can see their work here.
