Regularly participating in meaningful professional development is a vital part of our ongoing quest to become more effective teachers. Teachers are required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to accumulate 30 hours a year (150 every 5 years) of professional development. It is highly recommended that teachers attend a CTE Professional Development Conference authorized by the district. State & National content-specific information is shared and a wealth of opportunities for networking are available.
Other Professional Development opportunities are available for all CTE teachers through the Regional Service Centers, the district, or other outside resources.
